Friday, June 21st, 2019

The City of Savannah was just named one of the best employers to work for by Forbes magazine, ranking as the 16th best organization in Georgia. The City of Savannah was, notably, the only municipal government to be listed out of 56 organizations.

Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to pinpoint the organizations liked best by employees in their first-ever ranking of America’s best employers by state.

“It’s an honor to be the only municipal government in the State of Georgia to make the Forbes ranking. At the City of Savannah, we are striving to create a work environment where employees can find a career with purpose, have open and forward conversations, and feel valued. Being recognized speaks volumes to the pride our employees have in our organization,” said Human Resources Director Jeff Grant.

Being named among the best employers in the State of Georgia aligns with the Savannah Forward strategic plan, as we strive to set the standard for public service in America.
