Registration is now open for the new Project Management Certificate at Georgia Tech-Savannah. The certificate is designed for professionals who oversee projects or want to sharpen their project management skills.

“We are thrilled to offer these new courses to the Coastal Georgia region,” said Diane Lee, Executive Director of Georgia Tech-Savannah. “The courses will equip professionals, in a variety of fields, who oversee projects or want to sharpen their project management skills.”

In this course, professionals learn how to manage risk, communicate within teams, deliver on time and on budget, and build deliverables. Georgia Tech is approved by the PMI® Project Management Institute and this certificate satisfies the education requirements necessary to take the Project Management Professional (PMP) Exam as well as the Certified Associate Project Management (CAPM) exam.

The five required courses for the certificate include:

Fundamentals of Successful Projects

August 6-7, 2019

This course introduces you to the principles and practices of structured project management. You will gain a comprehensive overview of the skills, knowledge, and tools needed to effectively manage projects.

Delivering Scope on Time and within Budget (Triple Constraints)

August 8-10, 2019

This course prepares you to face competing influences by applying the knowledge and tools needed to manage scope expectations within realistic project schedules and budgets.

Managing Risk and Procurements

Sept. 3-5, 2019

In this course, you will learn to reduce negative risk exposure in your projects and enhance opportunities by using effective risk-management and procurement practices.

Communicating within Teams

September 25-26, 2019

This course explores the processes for effectively managing project communication and

the techniques for dealing with individual styles.

Case Study Work

October 1-3, 2019

This final course in the Project Management Professional (PMP) series allows you to apply the principles of project management to an experiential, real case study.
