New Shareholders for Thomas & Hutton Announced

Thomas & Hutton is pleased to announce the selection of Ryan Thompson, PLA as a company shareholder. Ryan joined Thomas & Hutton’s Savannah office in 2002 shortly after obtaining his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia. Ryan is the Landscape Architecture Department Manager and is our first shareholder in this department. A registered Professional Landscape Architect in Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida, Ryan ensures that clients are provided with unique, sustainable, and innovative landscape, hardscape and planning solutions. Ryan is also involved with several professional organizations including the American Society of Landscape Architects, Urban Land Institute, and the US Green Building Council. Additionally, Ryan serves on the Effingham Chamber Commerce Board of Directors where he will serve as Vice President for 2019-20, and is President Elect for 2020-2021.

During his career with Thomas & Hutton, Ryan has been deeply involved in the planning and design of numerous spaces in communities across the southeast. Recent major projects Ryan has been involved with include the Highway 278 CID Master Plan in Covington, Georgia which resulted in a long-term vision for the community that will transform the Highway 278 corridor from an auto-oriented suburban highway to a multi-modal highway. The redesigned corridor will now focus on providing facilities for pedestrians and cyclists, with planted medians and street trees. Ryan also recently completed the design of two new city squares and associated streetscapes within Eastern Wharf in the City of Savannah.

Thomas & Hutton is also pleased to announce the selection of Tom Pace, CMA, CFE as a company shareholder. As Chief Financial Officer, Tom is the company’s first shareholder with a background separate from the engineering field. His nearly 30 years of professional experience in corporate financial management and advising represent a diverse and discerning addition to Thomas & Hutton’s shareholder group.

Tom joined Thomas & Hutton in 2013 and oversees the company’s financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, human resources, and risk management functions. His previous roles include 23 years of leadership roles with Fortune 100 companies. Tom is a graduate of The Citadel where he received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting, as well as Farleigh Dickinson University where he received his Master of Business Administration. Tom is a Certified Management Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner and is involved in several business and community organizations, including America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, United Way, Savannah Recreation Commission, and Savannah CFO Council.
