Local IT services provider Infinity Inc. recently announced the recipient of an academic scholarship in honor of the company’s 20th anniversary.
Ryan McKenna, a 2019 graduate of South Effingham High School, received the $2000 scholarship which will assist with educational costs. Ryan plans to attend Georgia Southern University in the fall and will major in Information Technology with a minor in Cybersecurity.
The Infinity anniversary scholarship was created to contribute locally to the next generation of technological advancement and discovery. By selecting a local student with an interest in technology, Infinity’s leadership team hopes to create awareness and support regarding the importance of education and experience within their industry. Royce Learning Center Executive Director Ron Wilson and WSAV’S Kim Gusby both served on the scholarship review committee.
“Ryan McKenna’s passion to learn more about technology and cyber security was clearly evident in his scholarship application,” said Infinity Inc. CEO Chuck Brown. “We hope that this scholarship will allow Ryan to continue to excel in his education.”
