Bud Green, Lyon Jemison, Marek Lewanda, Roger Moss, Daphne Nash, and Cindy Prutzman have joined the Savannah Philharmonic Board of Directors. Executive Director Terri O’Neil, and newly appointed Music and Artistic Director Designate Keitaro Harada will serve as Ex officio.

Kenneth “Bud” Green founded Workhorse Software in 1996 and served as President and CEO until selling the company in 2016. After beginning his career in Chicago at J. Walter Thompson (JWT), one of the big 5 advertisers worldwide, Ken envisioned a better way for creating advertising media plans. After a few years, he left JWT and created Workhorse Software, a developer of global media planning and plan management software tools. In addition to running his company, Ken served as a long-time trustee for the Roycemore School in Evanston, Illinois and oversaw the capital campaign to help secure a new larger building for its students in 2014. Ken enjoys taking photographs with his Leica camera and has had his work exhibited in both Chicago and Savannah as well as featured in Popular Photography magazine.  Ken is also the photographer for the Savannah Downtown Neighborhood Association’s Holiday Tour of Homes. Ken and his wife Lynn are both retired and enjoying life as full-time residents in Savannah.

Lyon D. Jemison is a respected and trusted lawyer located in Richmond Hill, Georgia. He received his bachelor’s degree from St. John’s College and his Juris Doctor from Whittier Law School. Jemison has expertise in many areas of law including immigration, deportation, inadmissibility, naturalization, immigration consequences due to criminal convictions, family law (including guardianship, contempt actions, uncontested and contested matters), criminal law, DUI law, and personal injury law. Jemison has also worked on several cases repatriating abducted children. He is the owner of the Jemison Law Firm and he practices in municipal, state and superior courts throughout southeastern Georgia, including Richmond Hill and Savannah, Georgia.

Marek Lewanda, now retired, spent 32 years working for IBM Global Services. Lewanda held multiple communication and marketing positions in the United States and abroad. In the year 2000, he took on the role of marketing communications program manager. Lewanda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nuclear chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Science degree in Journalism from Columbia University.

Roger Moss, Jr. is originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he received numerous awards for civic and artistic accomplishments. He graduated from Wheaton College and sang in the Wheaton College Concert Choir and Men’s Glee Club. His extensive performance career has included singing for the Archbishop of Canterbury, singing to sold out crowds with the Savannah Symphony Orchestra and performing the role of “Jake” in the Opera Memphis production of Porgy and Bess. He was a finalist in the American Traditions Vocal Competition. Moss is the co-founder of Savannah Children’s Choir and Savannah Classical Academy and also the founder of Savannah Exploratory Charter Academy expected to open in 2020. 

Daphne Nash lived in Manhattan for twenty-three years where she held business development, client service, and program management roles at design consultancies. She developed sales strategies for new client acquisition, maintained existing account relationships, and co-led multi-disciplinary design programs in the technology, finance and consumer products industries. Prior to this, Nash worked in the arts and antiques field while earning her MA at The Bard Graduate Center for Studies in the Decorative Arts, Design and Material Culture. She holds a BA from George Washington University. Nash relocated to downtown Savannah in 2016, and in addition to her new role at the Savannah Philharmonic, Nash also serves on the Board of the Telfair Museum’s Friends of the Owens-Thomas House.

Cindy Prutzman has a diverse career background in the field of education. Prior to moving to Savannah, she taught in the private and public sector and founded and directed a progressive Early Learning Center. Shortly after moving to Savannah in 2004, she opened Green Door Vacation Rental Properties. Prutzman is currently a manager of the Grad Mentor Program at Savannah College of Art and Design. She is passionate in her support of education and the arts and has been a member of the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council, the Lake George Opera Guild, Overture Center for the Arts and the Telfair Art Guild. Currently, Prutzman lives in the Historic District where she enjoys Savannah’s abundant beauty and history.
