Philharmonic Patrons Generously Give The Gift Of Music This Holiday Season

Staff Report From Savannah CEO

Wednesday, January 8th, 2020

Savannah Philharmonic helped many area families create special holiday memories. Through initiatives and partnerships, the Philharmonic provided hundreds of Holiday Spectacular matinee tickets to local families. “Giving the Gift of Music” was supported by the Savannah Philharmonic Board and loyal patrons. The initiative was well-received by many area not-for-profit organizations.

Partnering with Dick and Judy Eckburg, Savannah Philharmonic board members were able to give several hundred Holiday Spectacular concert tickets to local military families from the 3rd Infantry Division, US Coast Guard and Air Station Savannah.  Additional tickets were gifted to local non-profit organizations including Greenbriar Children’s Center, Park Place Outreach, Hospice Savannah, the Matthew Reardon Center for Autism, Savannah Classical Academy; Senior Citizens, Ronald McDonald House and Bethesda Academy. Kathy Levitt joyfully gifted all young attendees a commemorative jingle bell.
