We are pleased to announce that Margaret Federal has accepted an invitation to join Celia Dunn Sotheby’s International Realty’s Savannah Office. “ As a native Californian, I never expected to discover, let alone live in, a place that rivals the beauty of my home state. But not too long ago, when my husband, a US Navy Captain and former fighter pilot, decided to retire from the Navy, that’s exactly what happened,” explained Federal.

“We left our final duty station in Germany and with two young sons in tow, moved to Savannah. Not a day goes by that we don’t feel fortunate to have discovered this gem of a place.” Margaret’s beginnings in real estate go back to the 80’s when her Dad, a Silicon Valley industrialist, made the decision to invest the money that he had made in the disc manufacturing business into prime California real estate. Her earliest memory was when she was about 11 years old, typing lease agreements on an Olympus electrical typewriter. She grew and learned from her Dad, earning more responsibility through the years. Assisting him through high school and college, she eventually decided to become a real estate broker in her own right.

“All of that was soon to come to an end (or at least temporarily placed on the back burner) when I met my husband, Kelly, who at the time was stationed at the Lemoore Naval Air Station in California’s Central Valley,” said Federal. “Not two years after we first met, we were married and, in the blink of an eye, I became a mom and we were off to our first foreign tour in India with our newborn son.”

She has visited and lived in many countries and experienced many walks of life. The perspective gleaned from those experiences is now applied to her real estate practice. “Margaret’s experience, professionalism and work ethic make her an asset to Celia Dunn Sotheby’s International Realty, and we couldn’t be more pleased that she has accepted our invitation,” said Celia Dunn, President of Celia Dunn Sotheby’s International Realty.

Federal holds a broker’s license in Georgia as well as California. Along with applying the benefits of the CDSIR brand, she looks forward to guiding her clients as they navigate through the purchase and sale process for their next home with expert care.

When not working in Real Estate, Margaret tutors kindergarteners at the local school, enjoys time on the water with family and friends, and always makes time to sit down to dinner with her husband Kelly and their two sons.
