Call for Special Election for State Senator, District 4

Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced that a special election will be held on June 9 in the parts of Bulloch, Candler, Effingham, Emanuel, Evans, and Tattnall counties that comprise Georgia State Senate District 4. A run-off, if needed, will be held on Aug. 11.

Qualifying for the special election will be held in the Elections Division of the Office of Secretary of State, 2 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SE, West Tower Suite 802, Atlanta. The dates and hours of qualifying will be Monday, April 13 beginning at 9: a.m. and ending at 5 p.m., Tuesday, April 14 beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m., and Wednesday, April 15 beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 1 p.m. The qualifying fee is $400.

Monday, May 11 is the last day to register to vote for all persons who are not registered to vote and who desire to vote in the special election.
