David Newland Marks Five Years with JE Dunn Construction

Construction industry veteran David Newland is celebrating five years of employment with JE Dunn Construction.

As a preconstruction services manager, Newland manages relationships with clients and project design teams during the preconstruction process. He leads the overall preconstruction process to deliver competitive bids, negotiated proposals, cost estimates, analyses and budgets.
 
A LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP), Newland has spent 22 years in the industry. He previously worked as a senior estimator, and before that, in preconstruction, for another general contractor. His portfolio includes City of Savannah’s Pennsylvania Avenue Resource Center and two projects currently under construction — the new Jenkins High School in Savannah and the Georgia Southern University Center for Engineering & Research.
 
Newland serves on the board of trustees of Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church and actively support community organizations, including United Way, Girl Scouts, Urban Hope Savannah, Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools and the Candler Clays Charity Shoot benefitting cancer programs and research at St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System.
 
He holds a Master of Science in Construction Management from University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Construction from Georgia Southern University.
