The Salvation Army of Savannah has received a generous donation of $7,500 from Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. to meet urgent needs during this extraordinary time in our history. The Salvation Army is at the front line of providing housing and care for the most vulnerable people in our community as the economic and social impact of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic hits hard.

The Salvation Army has proudly served the Savannah and surrounding communities for the past 120 years and has always been there to support low-income, homeless, laid off and struggling individuals and families. Whether the community is affected by COVID-19, hurricanes, floods, fires or the Spanish influenza which impacted the world over a century ago, The Salvation Army continues to serve those who need it the most.

"We knew we could count on Gulfstream. They prove their commitment to this community time and time again. The company is supporting The Salvation Army while they address their own challenges as we all are,” said The Salvation Army of Savannah’s Major Paul Egan. “We pray for the community and the employees at all of our local businesses as we maneuver daily through this difficult time. We are blessed to have Gulfstream taking the lead once again”.

Gulfstream is a major corporate supporter of The Salvation Army in Savannah. The company’s generosity helps The Salvation Army provide support to those whose wages are gone, those who need food, those who have no place to call home, and many others who desperately need help and hope.

“We are deeply committed to the well-being of our community and admire the vital work of The Salvation Army in Savannah and across the nation,” said Mark Bennett, Public Affairs and Community Investment Manager at Gulfstream.
