Colleton River Club, the premiere waterfront gated golf community of Bluffton, South Carolina, recently announced the approval of a new Amenities Project that will enhance the quality of life for existing Members while supporting the growth and real estate objectives of their revitalization plan.

Members of Colleton River Club recently approved to move forward with the improvement and renovation plan in an effort to preserve the club’s legacy while also building a bright future. This approval comes on the heels of acquiring 100 total homesites from the original developer, introducing new Membership model types, as well as the beautiful renovations to their Nicklaus Clubhouse. Colleton River Club is known for their spectacular golf, amazing views and unmatched energy… Now they are excited to upgrade their amenities to reflect the fun and fulfilling lifestyle offered behind the gates.

Architects, a design team, Colleton River Club management and a resident-led Renovation Task Force all collaborated for the past year on the plan for these amenity improvements. The plans consist of: a state of the art Fitness Complex and Wellness Center, a new Poolside Cafe, Bocce and Pickleball courts, a new tennis center, and stunning renovations and additions to the Dye Clubhouse with expanded dining options.

“We are very excited about our members’ approval of this upcoming amenities project,” says General Manager and Chief Operating Officer, Tim Bakels. “We are confident that the improved first-class amenities will cement our standing as the premier private club in the region.”

Colleton River Club is now entering the final design and execution phase of the project and more details will be released as they move forward. Crews are expected to begin the first phase of construction at the end of 2021. The project is scheduled to be completed by 2023.
