Georgia Power employees are making a difference in communities across the state this Earth Month by participating in projects that enhance environmental stewardship.

Recently, 14 Georgia Power employees from the Savannah area participated in a local service project in partnership with the Girl Scouts at Camp Low. As part of the project, volunteers gathered two large trailers of debris from the camp’s trails and helped clean the cabins for future campers.

With more than 40 chapters statewide, Citizens of Georgia Power - the employee volunteer arm of the company – gives back to their local communities through in-person and virtual volunteer projects, fundraisers, and donations. In 2020, Citizens’ members logged more than 55,000 hours of service equal to $1.5 million.
