Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Savannah-area campus, in collaboration with the Society of Women in Engineering and Women in Aviation, are hosting a Girls in Aviation Day celebration on Saturday, Sept. 25 at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force on 175 Bourne Ave., Pooler, Ga. 31322.

Girls in Aviation is a free STEM event for children ages eight to 17 but doesn't include access to the museum for the optional activities. We welcome you to participate in hands-on activities and presentations related to aviation and engineering. You will learn the history of women in aviation, the science of flight, and more. Our panel discussion experts include private and military pilots, test flight engineers, and aviation maintenance professionals.

“We’re proud to bring our community partners together to organize this event in our efforts to bridge the gender gap in STEM fields and inspire young people to pursue exciting and innovating careers,” said Campus Director Gabriela Fimbres. “We hope this will be the first of many more years hosting this event.”
