The Effingham County Chamber of Commerce will present valuable information about business trends and opportunities at its 2022 Effingham Business Summit on Tuesday, August 9, 8:30am to 1pm at the Effingham County College and Career Academy, 2940 Ga. Highway 21 in Rincon.

The Business Summit will feature:

Effingham County's economic forecast with speakers including Dr. Michael Toma, Fuller E. Callaway Professor of Economics.at Georgia Southern University's Parker School of Business, outlining the economic trends for Effingham County and the region. A summary of plans and potential impacts for the Hyundai/Kia electric vehicle plant project in adjacent Bryan County.

A panel discussion on How to Attract, Hire and Retain for Good Employees in a Worker Shortage. The panel will share what employers large and small are doing differently in an extremely competitive hiring environment.

Financial Resources for Expanding Your Business, with speakers from the University of Georgia's Small Business Development Center and the Coastal Area District Development Authority.

Information about Emerging Business Opportunities that entrepreneurs can take advantage of in our rapidly changing economy.
