Thomas & Hutton Announces Newest Professional Engineer Andres Cortes-Ramirez

Thomas & Hutton (T&H) is pleased to announce its newest Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida. Civil Designer Andres Cortes-Ramirez passed the Principles and Practices of Engineering Civil exam with the Water Resources and Environmental depth examination and has satisfied the experience requirement needed to become a PE.  

Andres Cortes-Ramirez joined Thomas & Hutton’s Civil Department in 2019. Andres graduated from the University of North Carolina, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology. As a Civil Designer and project team lead, Andres prepares site development construction drawings and engineering design considerations for water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure associated with residential projects in the South Carolina Lowcountry. He is also responsible for coordinating tasks among team members, contributing to permitting applications, and adhering to project schedules.

Andres is currently working on several notable projects in Hardeeville, SC, including Magnolia Walk and Horizons within the West Argent PDD, Hampton Pointe within the East Argent PDD, and Long Park Cottages – a detached rental product community. He is also on the project team for the JCF living rental community project which involves a rezoning process and SCDOT coordination. Andres also assists with Coosaw Point, a T&H legacy residential project in Beaufort County, SC.
