A 1/4 mile Kid's Fun Run kicks off the event at 9 a.m. before the 5K race begins at 9:15 a.m. Check-in is at 8 a.m., approximately one hour before the 5K begins.

Registration is waived for students of Red Cedar Elementary and is $10.00 for non-students. Participants have until Tuesday, Jan. 31, to register to receive official t-shirts but registrations will be accepted up to a week prior to the event.

“We started this race years ago to promote health and create an affordable way to run a 5K race for our families. To see this event grow to this size feels great and we welcome everyone in the community to join us and have some fun at the Foxes Trot,” said Red Cedar Elementary MLP Teacher Erin Berglind, who started the race and continues to organize the endeavor each year.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Red Cedar for an event focusing on health and fitness,” said Charles J. Russo III, third generation fish monger and owner of Russo’s Fresh Seafood Bluffton. "And you may see a fish running in this year's race alongside Foxy, the mascot. After all, foxes love fish!"

Returning sponsors include Hargray Communications, providing snacks and water at the end of the race, Accurate Litho, offering printing services of the posters, and Palmetto Running Company, responsible for the organization of the overall event.
