Coastal Heritage Society (CHS) received a $15,000 grant from Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation to support field trips for first-grade students who attend Savannah-Chatham County Public School System Title I schools. CHS has served approximately 1,500 first-grade students every year since 2015 and hopes to expand the program through its new CHS All In initiative.

“We are extremely grateful to Gulfstream for their support of All In. This gift serves as a testament to their philanthropic focus to strengthen our community by making it possible for students to attend our museums,” said Nora Fleming Lee, CEO of Coastal Heritage Society. “It is our hope that we are able to expand our Title I school field trip offerings to additional grade levels and are seeking additional donor support to make this possible.”

The CHS All In initiative increases access to the nonprofit organization’s six museums and educational programs. CHS operates Savannah History Museum, Savannah Children’s Museum, Georgia State Railroad Museum, Old Fort Jackson, Harper Fowlkes House, and Pin Point Heritage Museum. In addition to first-grade Title I field trips funded by Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, CHS All In provides free admission to its museums for visitors receiving EBT/SNAP/WIC benefits and sends its Mobile Museum directly into communities.
