Felder & Associates, an award-winning Savannah-based architectural firm specializing in historic preservation, religious facilities and high-end residential and commercial design, is proud to announce the promotion of Ryan Claus to Director of Operations.

Claus joined Felder & Associates in 2012 as a Junior Associate, the very year the firm was founded. His dedication, talent and leadership have been instrumental in the company's impressive growth. In 2016, he was promoted to Project Manager, consistently exceeding expectations by ensuring project timelines, budgets and quality standards were met

“Hiring Ryan was one of the best decisions we ever made,” said Brian Felder, Founder and Principal Architect of Felder & Associates. “He has been a loyal and high-performing team member since day one. Now, Ryan makes history as the first employee to be elevated to an officer position at Felder & Associates.”

Felder continued, “Ryan does more than just perform at work every day; he has a passion for architecture I love to see, and that keeps him motivated and involved outside the office. This promotion is part of a transition plan as we elevate the next generation of leaders and we are incredibly proud of Ryan's achievements.”

Claus's leadership has been instrumental in the successful completion of several high-profile projects in Savannah. These include the Bouhan Falligant office building, a stunning three-story, 18,000-square-foot structure that pays homage to the Federal-style period. The building has garnered significant attention for its record-breaking construction time and its seamless blend of traditional elegance with modern functionality.

Another recent success story under Claus's project management is the highly anticipated Wexford Irish Pub. This project honors Savannah's rich Irish heritage through its use of historical mementos and meticulously sourced materials.

Furthermore, Claus also played a key role in C&H Precision's latest expansion facility in Richmond Hill. This impressive 50,000-square-foot facility, scheduled for completion in 13 months, will feature a dedicated gun range, a welcoming coffee shop and ample office space.

“I am excited for the challenge,” Claus said. “Over the years, I've learned how my particular strengths and experience contribute positively to different aspects of our business.”

Claus, a 2011 Master of Architecture graduate from the Savannah College of Art and Design, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. As Director of Operations, Claus will oversee business development, intern development and advancement, design direction, production management and quality control. In his previous role as Project Manager and Designer, Claus excelled in client relations, project development, construction administration and leveraging various computer-aided design (CAD) software, including 3D visualizations of projects in the development stage. Prior to joining Felder & Associates, Claus gained valuable experience as an Intern Architect at Greenline Architecture.

"Transitioning to Director of Operations allows me to take a more strategic approach to talent development and overall business growth," Claus explained. "Upholding and promoting our high quality of work and mentoring newer talent have always been passions of mine, and I am eager to cultivate a team of highly skilled professionals who can propel Felder & Associates to even greater heights."

A native of Pooler, Ga., Claus resides there with his wife, Brittani, and their three children. He actively gives back to the community, currently serving on the Historic Savannah Foundation Board of Trustees, and in leadership at his local church. In his free time, Claus enjoys quality time with his family, working on home projects, and anything active.
