Final Field Set for Seventh Playing of the Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club

Tournament officials announced today the final field for the seventh playing of the Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club. The world-class field of 156 players is headlined by the top 50 in the Korn Ferry Tour points list.

The Club Car Championship kicks off this week in Savannah, GA, at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club – Deer Creek Course. 

Tickets for the Club Car Championship can be purchased at clubcarchampionshipattlc.com/tickets. Several ticket options are available. Daily tickets start at $10, and kids 17 and under receive free grounds access with a ticketed adult. In addition, the tournament is proud to offer free admission to all approved Active Duty, National Guard, Military Reserve Service Members, Military Retirees, Military Veterans and First Responders.

FIELD HIGHLIGHTS 

  • Each player ranked inside the top 50 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List is in the field this week.

  • Three past champions are in the field this week: T.J. Vogel (2022), Evan Harmeling (2020) and Dan McCarthy (2019).

    • The three past champions not in the field are four-time PGA TOUR winner Sam Burns (2018), TOUR winner Adam Svensson (2021) and three-time Korn Ferry Tour winner, David Skinns (2023). Svensson and Skinns are both playing this week’s Valero Texas Open on the PGA TOUR.

    • Burns won the 2023 World Golf Championship-Dell Technologies Match Play, bringing his total PGA TOUR victories to five.

    • Skinns’ best finish this season was a T4 at the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches and he finished T7 at last week’s Texas Children’s Houston Open.

    • Svensson won the 2022 RSM Classic and has collected three Korn Ferry Tour victories.

  • Fifteen players in the field played collegiately in the state of Georgia:

    • Georgia Tech (Shunyat Hak, Paul Haley II, Connor Howe, Chris Petefish, Seth Reeves, Ollie Schniederjans, Ross Steelman, Richy Werenski)

    • Georgia (Erik Compton, Joey Garber, Trent Phillips, Spencer Ralston)

    • Georgia Southern (Ben Carr, Steven Fisk, Mason Williams)

  • Additional players with local/regional ties to the area include: Dawson Armstrong (born in Valdosta, Georgia), Brian Campbell (Bluffton, South Carolina resident), Emilio Gonzalez (St. Simons Island, Georgia resident), Billy Kennerly (plays from Alpharetta, Georgia), Bryson Nimmer (plays from Okatie, South Carolina), and Paul Peterson (plays from St. Simons Island, Georgia).

Columbus, Georgia native Ben Carr will make his Korn Ferry Tour debut as a sponsor exemption this week. A former No. 1 junior golfer in the state of Georgia, Carr played collegiately at Georgia Southern where he was the

2022-23 Sun Belt Golfer of the Year and notably finished runner-up in the 2022 U.S. Amateur.

  • Field includes 53 past Korn Ferry Tour winners with 75 total wins, led by Kevin Stadler with four.
  • Field includes 21 past PGA TOUR winners with 38 total victories, led by Ben Crane with five.
  • Field includes all six winners from this season: Jeremy Paul, Aldrich Potgieter, Isaiah Salinda, Kevin Velo, Mason Andersen and Taylor Dickson.
