Savannah Scottish Games Presents the 46th Annual Savannah Scottish Games

The 46th Annual Savannah Scottish Games, an authentic Celtic festival featuring living history, authentic foods and gathering of the clans and the fourth oldest Scottish festival in the southeast will take place on Saturday, May 4, from 8:45 am to 7 pm at Bethesda Academy, located at 9570 Ferguson Ave. in Savannah, GA.

"At Bethesda Academy for our 16th year, we will host Celtic competitions, Scottish food, gathering of the clans, and outstanding live music from five bands including our headliner, North of Argyll, a high energy Scottish/Celtic band. Providing an iconic venue for heavy athletes, pipe bands, and Highland Dancers to compete and obtain feedback from highly esteemed judges, we celebrate our love for Scottish culture and heritage with our surrounding communities,” states Savannah Scottish Games President Murray Marshall. 

Event Highlights:

● Athletic and tug-of-war competitions
● 35 tent clans
● Southeast Highland Dancing Regional Championships
● Historic sword fighting reenactments
● Sheep herding, birds-of-prey and hurling demonstrations
● Children’s activities
● Scottish food and wares vendors
● Celtic musicians
● Pipe band and solo/drummer competitions

● 8:45 a.m. - Gates Open
● 9:00 a.m. - Athletics, dance & piping competitions commence
● Noon - Welcome Ceremony
● 4:00 p.m. - Award Ceremony
● 4:15 p.m. - 7 p.m. - Ceilidh Roots Rock Festival
