Savannah State University Opens Campus to Prospective Students

Savannah State University (SSU) recently invited prospective students and their families to explore the campus and learn about the university's academic programs, campus life, and opportunities for personal and professional growth during their Open Campus Day.

“We were thrilled to welcome prospective students and their families to our Open Campus Day and to showcase all that Savannah State University has to offer,” said SSU Interim President Cynthia Alexander. “At SSU, we are committed to providing a transformative educational experience that prepares students for success in their academic and professional endeavors, and we always look forward to sharing our vibrant campus community with our visitors.”

Hundreds of visitors opted to get a firsthand glimpse into life at Savannah State University. Attendees took guided tours of the campus led by knowledgeable student ambassadors, showcasing SSU's state-of-the-art facilities, historic landmarks, and beautiful surroundings. Visitors also attended informational sessions and presentations on academic programs, admissions requirements, financial aid opportunities, and student support services, to learn about the diverse educational pathways available at SSU. In addition, faculty members, staff, and current students shared their experiences, answered questions, and provided valuable guidance and advice.

“I really enjoyed meeting the prospective students and their families,” Alexander said. “I hope to see many of them return in the fall to begin their educational journeys at SSU.”
