Unique Eats and Eateries of Savannah Book Launch Party April 27

A new book about Savannah’s dynamic food scene fromprivate chef, author and culinary TV personality Rebekah Faulk Lingenfelser is hot off the press.Unique Eats and Eateries of Savannahisthe latest local interest book in a national series published by Reedy Press. Featuring a variety of more than 80 local restaurants, bakeries, artisan meat markets and ethnic cafes, the 192-page softcover publication highlights the people and stories behind the food. To celebrate its debut, a premiere launch party will take place at Cohen’s Retreat, 5717 Skidaway Rd., on Saturday, April 27 from 2 - 4 p.m. in the Perennial Dining Room. 


The drop-in event is free and open to the public and will include light refreshments with a champagne toast and author remarks planned for 3 p.m. Books will be available for purchase, along with cocktails from the bar, and guests are invited to meet and greet the author. The launch is the kick-off for Lingenfelser’s book tour, which will take place over the spring and summer, including a dual book signing with Paula Deen at The Lady and Sons on June 22.
