Eastern Wharf, a vibrant destination overlooking the Savannah River at 101 Port St. in Savannah, Ga., is delighted to host a wide range of family-friendly, holiday-themed events throughout the month of December. All events are free and open to the public. Attendees are invited to bring a can of food to donate to Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia to help local residents in need during the holidays.

“We’re thrilled to celebrate the holiday season at Eastern Wharf and invite everyone to join us for live music, Sundays with Santa and fun for the whole family,” said Eastern Wharf Executive Director Kayne Lanahan. “By day or by night, Eastern Wharf is the perfect place to enjoy the magic of the holidays in Savannah.”

Following the much-anticipated Eastern Wharf Holiday Kickoff Weekend on Sat., Nov. 29 and Sun., Nov. 30, the fun will continue throughout December. Santa’s Grotto at Eastern Wharf will offer a magical open-air space decked out in festive holiday decor, twinkling lights and a lighted Christmas tree. It's the perfect place to snap a fun holiday photo. Santa’s Grotto is open to the public daily through December 20^th.

Eastern Wharf will also host a special Holiday Concert Series on Thursday evenings in December at 6 p.m., featuring top local bands and talented artists performing in the intimate grotto at The Park at Eastern Wharf. The schedule of these seated shows is as follows:

• Thurs., December 4: Katie McAuliffe Trio (featuring the holiday music of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” composer Vince Guaraldi)

• Thurs., December 11: Andy & Mandy’s Hard Candy Christmas

• Thurs., December 18: Trae & Sam’s Mistletwo 

In addition, Sundays with Santa provides the opportunity for attendees to take photos with Santa using their own cameras or phones. Santa will be in residence and available for photos on Sun., December 7 and Sun., December 14 from 3 to 5 p.m.

Additional activities available across the Eastern Wharf family of brands throughout the month of December include:

• Frosty’s Social Club at Bar Julian in Thompson Savannah, featuring signature holiday cocktails

• The final Syd Nicole Holiday Wreath Workshop of the season on Sun., December 7 from 1 to 3 p.m.

• The final Sunset Farmers’ Market of 2025 on Thurs., December 11 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

• Squirrel's at Eastern Wharf serving signature pizzas, wings and full bar

• Children’s Play Area with views of the Savannah River

Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase from Squirrel’s Eastern Wharf and Thompson Savannah. Small personal coolers (no larger than 20” x 20” x 20”) are allowed on-site.

Metered on-street parking is available at kiosks or by downloading the ParkSavannah mobile app, and is enforced from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Parking is also available in the City of Savannah’s 700-space Eastern Wharf Parking Garage. The DOT trolley also stops at Eastern Wharf daily until 7 p.m.
