That irony is not lost on Atlanta Braves’ Executive Vice-President, Mike Plant, an Olympian speed skater and member of several Olympic committees, who has taken on overall responsibility for the 2017 move of the team to SunTrust Park in Cobb County.

Local Brewery Wins Two Medals at International Beer Championship

Coastal Empire Beer Co. of Savannah won silver and gold medals in blind tastings earlier this month at the 2015 United States Open Beer Championship in Oxford, Ohio. More than 4,000 beers and ciders from over 20 countries competed to win in a number of different beer, cider and specialty categories.

Renovations Underway on Residential Lofts Above Retailers on Historic Broughton Street

Ben Carter Enterprises has started renovations on 20 residential lofts over the retail shops along Broughton Street. The renovations are part of The Broughton Street Collection, Ben Carter Enterprises’ $75 million historic restoration project that has garnered national attention. The project has been heralded as an indication the once neglected Broughton Street has returned to its former prominence.
