Goodwill Southeast Georgia is hosting a Healthcare hiring event to support the increasing need for medical staff across Chatham County. 

In partnership with Savannah Technical College and United Cerebral Palsy, Goodwill Southeast Georgia’s health care hiring event will be held on Monday, June 7^th from 10 am - 2 pm at the Opportunity Center located at 7220 Sallie Mood Dr. Savannah, GA 31406. The hiring event is open to the public from 11 am – 2 pm. 

“The Opportunity Center exists to provide wrap around Support services, education, and employment services to help individuals prepare for their next career move,” shares Veronica Stryon, Director of Career Services. “Our extensive employer network and partners, like Savannah Technical College, create pipelines for our clients to find mid-wage, high-demand careers. The need for experienced healthcare employees is especially critical at this time.” 

From 10 – 11 am, the hiring event will serve Savannah Technical College current and past health admissions students. Health Admission students have received certifications and additional training opportunities through the partnership with The Opportunity Center at Goodwill. “We are thankful for partners like Goodwill and the supports they provide that help the education we provide make an impact no matter the barriers,” says Dr. Brent Stubbs, Vice President for Economic Development. 

Participating employers include St. Joseph’s/Candler, Georgia Regional Hospital, CareSource, United Cerebral Palsy, HopeBridge, Help at Home, Healthcare Staffing Inc. and Comfort Keepers. Employers will be meeting candidates, accepting applications, and hosting on-site interviews for open positions from entry to senior level. Participants should bring two forms of ID and be sure to dress for success.
