Local officials and business leaders, along with Mr. Monopoly, unveiled the new MONOPOLY: Savannah Edition at a special media event on Tuesday, November 14 at Plant Riverside District, located at 400 W. River St. in Savannah, Ga. The only licensed version in Georgia, the new MONOPOLY: Savannah Edition game was introduced by Top Trumps USA, the American division of Winning Moves International creators of classic games and puzzles, and sanctioned by Hasbro, a leading toy and game company.

Savannah Mayor Van Johnson, Kessler Collection Chairman and CEO Richard C. Kessler and Top Trumps USA representative Brooke Gorman revealed the new MONOPOLY: Savannah Edition, which replaces the popular board game’s iconic Atlantic City squares — from Boardwalk to Park Place — with Savannah cultural sites, historic landmarks, charitable organizations and businesses.

Local landmarks featured on the new MONOPOLY: Savannah Edition game board include Plant Riverside District, The Olde Pink House, City Market, the Forsyth Park Fountain, River Street, Juliette Gordon Low House, Tybee Island Lighthouse, Waving Girl Statue, City Hall, Johnson Square and Chippewa Square. Additional destinations include the Lucas Theatre for the Arts, SCAD Museum of Art, Bonaventure Cemetery, the Tybee Pier and Wormsloe Historic Site.

The Savannah edition also features customized Community Chest and Chance playing cards to ensure the new game board is a historic, enduring tribute to one of the most popular destinations in the U.S.
