Monday, December 18th, 2023
At its annual Holiday Luncheon, held on December 6th, Small Business Assistance Corporation announced the release of its corporate legacy book. The book celebrates, in both images and words, the company’s remarkable thirty- four-year history, hence the title The First 34 Years of SBAC. The book features stories told of the organization from the point of view of its founding leadership and commemorates the non- profit’s commitment to economic development and small business support.
The First 34 Years of SBAC gives readers an intimate view of the company’s evolution, from its inception in 1989 as a small Certified Development Company to its current standing as a premier small business lender and technical assistance provider. The First 34 Years of SBAC recognizes many of the small businesses, volunteers, partners, and community leaders that have supported SBAC’s mission and growth.
“The legacy book was put together to honor our founding leaders, who devoted three decades of their lives to impact the economy through small business growth and job creation. Sharing the challenges, victories, and invaluable lessons learned while being a driving force that stimulated economic development. SBAC’s story is one to be valued and remembered for years to come", states SBAC’s President, Victoria Saxton.
The SBAC’s self-published corporate legacy book is made available through its first-ever fundraiser. All proceeds will go towards building the non-profit's mission of helping underserved small businesses in and across Savannah, Southeast Georgia, and the Low Country of South Carolina.
