Goodwill Southeast Georgia announces the appointment of Jason Marshall as the President and Chief Executive Officer. Marshall has served as interim CEO since January of this year and previously served as Chief Operating Officer.
"I am honored to help guide Goodwill towards realizing our strategic goals and creating lasting impact across Coastal Georgia," says Marshall. "I am confident that we can continue the success we have experienced while seeking new, imaginative ways to serve others on their path to self-sufficiency. I am appreciative of the confidence bestowed upon me by our Board of Directors to continue building our organization in order to achieve the goal set forth by our founder Edgar J. Helms to ensure that all individuals are able to realize an abundant life."
Marshall joined Goodwill Southeast Georgia in 2018, where he strategically led the growth and expansion of all operational programs. As COO, Marshall realized record-breaking results over the last three years, increasing the overall contribution to Mission Services year-over-year. Goodwill Southeast Georgia marked 2023 as a record year in its donated goods and manufacturing programs while serving more than 3,000 individuals, the most since pre-pandemic 2019.
Before joining Goodwill Southeast Georgia, Jason served as Executive Vice President of Workforce Development and Retail at Goodwill Industries of North Central Pennsylvania and as Vice President of Retail Enterprises for Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries in Boston. Marshall has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Business Administration from Strayer University and is a graduate of Leadership Savannah.
Ivy Council, Board Chair of Goodwill Industries of the Coastal Empire, congratulates Mr. Marshall on behalf of the Board. She is enthusiastic about Marshall's vision and expertise in the new role.
"After a thorough review of our organization, our strategic goals, and our future, our board of directors feels confident that Jason is the right person to lead Goodwill into the future. Jason has demonstrated a keen sense of operational effectiveness, along with a passionate commitment to Goodwill's mission of serving others and allowing individuals to achieve their personal and professional best," says Council.
