On a day filled with inspiring connections and recognition, Cecilia Russo Marketing, an award-winning full-service marketing and public relations firm based in Savannah, Ga., celebrated its 15th anniversary by honoring the three recipients of its Entrepreneur Grants with a special ceremony at the Georgia State Capitol. The event featured not only Governor Brian Kemp and First Lady Marty Kemp but also a productive meeting with Speaker of the House Jon Burns and Representative Scott Hilton, Executive Director of the Georgia's First Commission, followed by a delicious lunch with Georgia State Representative Jesse Petrea.

To commemorate 15 years of empowering businesses throughout the region, Cecilia Russo Marketing awarded a total of $15,000 to three deserving Georgia small businesses, chosen from over 630 applications from across the state. Each recipient exemplifies the dynamic spirit of Georgia's entrepreneurial landscape, possessing a unique and impactful vision.

"We were inspired by the incredible talent and passion showcased in every application," says Cecilia Russo Turner, founder and CEO of Cecilia Russo Marketing. “Governor and First Lady Kemp's involvement in highlighting these inspiring stories, coupled with the opportunity to meet with Speaker Burns, Rep. Petrea, and Rep. Hilton, further underscores the state's commitment to fostering a thriving small business ecosystem.”

The grant recipient winners are:

  • Carmella Alexander of C.A Publishing: C.A Publishing authors and publishes inclusive children's stories for those with disabilities. Their grant will be used to produce plush story dolls for children with limited mobility, fostering literacy and play through tactile engagement.

  • Rickey Brown III of RBIII Academy: RBIII Academy offers music lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. The Cecilia Russo Marketing grant will allow them to purchase instruments and technology for their students, and create a subsidized program for students in need, ensuring music education is accessible to all.

  • Maggie Lilly of Party of Hive: Party of Hive crafts delicious, healthy granola using local honey and gluten-free oats. Their grant will support website development and expand wholesale accounts across Georgia and North Carolina, distributing their tasty and nutritious products to more areas.

"Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, supporting both individuals and employees while providing vital services and character to communities across our state," said Governor Kemp. "We're proud to join Cecilia Russo Marketing in recognizing these outstanding entrepreneurs and celebrating their contributions to Georgia."

Governor and First Lady Kemp's commendations, along with the meetings with key state leaders, underscore the importance of supporting Georgia's small businesses. Their commitment to fostering economic growth through entrepreneurship aligns perfectly with the spirit of Cecilia Russo Marketing’s grant program.
