Union Mission to Unveil Newly Renovated Outdoor Space at Magdalene House

Monday, March 18th, 2024

Union Mission will unveil a newly renovated outdoor space at the Don & Kaye Kole Magdalene House on Thursday, March 21 at 10:30am located at 1407 East 41st Street in Savannah.

Every child deserves a safe space to play and explore. Families need a place to gather and grow together. Union Mission transformed the outdoor space to provide a tranquil oasis at the Don & Kaye Kole Magdalene House to promote recreation, relaxation, and restoration for the families we serve. Together with our team, crews demolished an old garage on the property, built a recreation area, landscaped the grounds, enhanced security measures, added fencing, and installed a playground.

This project was generously funded by Bank of America, The Kiwanis Club of Skidaway Island, Frances Wood Wilson Foundation, Louisa Porter Aid Society, and The Kirby Smart Foundation.

Union Mission’s Emergency Housing Programs address barriers by providing 90-days of housing and customized services for clients to exit homelessness, including food, clothing, transportation, and access to supportive services at three locations for women with children at the Don & Kaye Kole Magdalene House, for unaccompanied women at Parker’s House, and for men at Grace House.
