The Broe Group’s Savannah Gateway Industrial Hub (SGIH) has added global equipment logistics leader Aertssen Logistics, USA to the 2,600-acre industrial park near the Port of Savannah. The 380,800 square foot Aertssen equipment processing center is the Belgium company’s first US based operation. Aertssen Logistics is a division of Aertssen Group NV.

The new facility in the United States offers comprehensive logistics services, indoor and outdoor storage, and various tailor-made technical services. Its strategic location near the Port of Savannah, a key hub for the southeastern United States, makes the 35-acre facility an ideal logistics center. To support the development of this site, Aertssen Logistics selected The Broe Group as its strategic partner, leveraging their real estate expertise to ensure the facility meets the highest standards for operational efficiency and aligns with our long-term growth strategy.

“Savannah Gateway Industrial Hub continues to demonstrate strong geographic and multi-modal benefits to our partners,” said Broe Real Estate Group Vice President Scott Rogers. “We are proud that SGIH was identified as the optimal site for Aertssen’s first US facility, and we are pleased to support such a smooth market entry.”

The Aertssen project marks the completion of phase one park development within Savannah Gateway Industrial Hub. Aertssen, a multigenerational family-owned company, specializes in the transportation, handling, final assembly and management of construction, agriculture and aerial lift equipment.

“The Broe Group continues to attract dynamic new park tenants,” said Effingham County Industrial Development Authority CEO Brandt Herndon. “Aertssen’s new equipment processing center in Effingham County represents the addition of a high-quality partner to the park and high-quality jobs to the region. We are thrilled to have Aertssen locate in our community.”

With available park capacity to serve an additional 17 million square feet of warehousing and manufacturing facilities, SGIH is a public-private partnership between the Effingham County Industrial Development Authority (ECIDA), The Broe Group’s real estate affiliate, Broe Real Estate Group, and its transportation affiliate, OmniTRAX. Located 12 miles from the Port of Savannah, SGIH provides dual rail access to the Class I rail networks of CSX and Norfolk Southern.
