Dr. Kori Schake, Senior Fellow and Director of Foreign and Defense Policy Studies at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), former U.S. State Department, Department of Defense and National Security Council official will present:
"Lessons from American Foreign Policy Failures"
Interested in the big picture of U.S. foreign and defense policy and an assessment of which approaches have succeeded and which have failed – and why? Join us as prominent former U.S. official and incisive analyst of U.S. strategy Dr. Kori Schake examines the contemporary legacy of American warfare — from Vietnam through Afghanistan to the current day. She will offer insights into what mistakes policymakers made and what lessons they have learned from our military undertaking – and what they have not. She will offer her views on how this can inform our military strategy in the new era of diplomacy and defense we now face. Dr. Schake is a senior fellow and the director of foreign and defense policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute and a regular commentator on U.S. strategic foreign and defense policy. She had a distinguished career in government, at the State Department, the Department of Defense, and the National Security Council..
