Joined by Korean, State and local officials, Seohan Auto Georgia held the Grand Opening Ceremony for their new facility in the Tradeport East Business Center. This new manufacturing facility will produce H/shafts, axles, and brake systems for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), including Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America. Their operations will create at least 180 new jobs and represent an investment of more than $72 million in Liberty County.

“Economic development does not happen by accident, and the community’s investment in the Tradeport East Business Center was not only an investment in your own future, but also allowed Seohan Auto Georgia to meet a challenging timeline to get up and running,” said Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson. “Congratulations to Liberty County and Seohan Auto Georgia for demonstrating what can be accomplished through vision, collaboration, and dedication.”

State Representative Al Williams said, “As the Liberty County Development Authority Board Chairman, I am proud to welcome Seohan to Liberty County. I was closely involved in the effort to locate this impressive manufacturing facility here, a process that began in November of 2022. There were other locations being considered, so we had to win this one for our community. Thanks to the tremendous effort of the Authority staff and my fellow board members working alongside community and state partners, we did just that.”
