United Way of the Coastal Empire is proud to announce that the 2025 Women Who Rule event will honor community leader and dedicated United Way supporter Stacy Jennings as the 2025 United Way “Woman of the Year.” The annual luncheon, chaired by Suzanne Kirk of Employee Development Strategies, Inc., will be held Tuesday, March 4, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Savannah Convention Center.

Championed by United Way’s WOMEN UNITED, this popular annual event raises funds for the Women United Transportation Fund, which supports women and caregivers across our region who need dependable transportation. Donations to the fund provide gas cards, bus passes, minor car repairs, and more to help increase access to reliable transportation.

Prior to her current role, Stacy served as Director of Marketing at the Savannah Morning News/Savannah Evening Press. She holds a BA in English from the Sophie Newcomb College of Tulane University. Since moving to Savannah in 1985, she has been an active community member, serving on numerous boards and committees.

For more than 33 years, Stacy has been a dedicated United Way of the Coastal Empire supporter, serving on the Board of Directors, Marketing Committee (Marketing Chair), Campaign Cabinet, and as a Loaned Executive. She currently serves on the Marketing Committee and has for decades.

In addition to her United Way service, Stacy served on numerous boards including YMCA of Coastal Georgia, Susan G. Komen of Coastal Georgia, March of Dimes of Savannah, Rape Crisis Center, Frank Callen Boys and Girls Club, Greater Savannah Sports Council, American Advertising Federation/Savannah, AAF-7th District, Leadership Savannah, and St. John’s Church.
