Cecilia Russo Turner, President and CEO of Savannah-based public relations and marketing firm Cecilia Russo Marketing, has earned global recognition with a Silver Stevie Award in the category of Best Female Entrepreneur – Consumer Services – 10 or Less Employees. The award was presented during The Stevie Awards for Women in Business, held in New York City.
The Stevie Awards are internationally acclaimed accolades recognizing excellence across business sectors, including customer service, human resources, marketing, and innovation. Founded in 2002, the awards highlight the remarkable contributions of individuals and organizations, elevating business leadership on a global scale.
Several Stevie Award competitions are held annually, including the American Business Awards, International Business Awards, and the Stevie Awards for Women in Business. Nominees are evaluated by a panel of industry expert judges and recognized business leaders.
Today, The Stevie Awards have become one of the world's most coveted business prizes. The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are open to all organizations globally, recognizing the achievements of women executives, entrepreneurs, and the organizations they run.
“I’m honored by this international award, and I share this recognition with my amazing team and our wonderful clients. We’re a small company, but we work harder and smarter to offer big results and do it ethically and with a greater purpose,” Russo Turner said.
With more than 1,000 participant judges evaluating countless applications, Russo-Turner was one of only four Silver Stevie winners in the category and one of only two U.S.-based companies. Among the recognized achievements contributing to the award is Russo-Turner’s record-breaking $13.1 million fundraising success as the Campaign Chair for the United Way of the Coastal Empire in 2022. Cecilia Russo Marketing also celebrated the company’s 15 years in business by awarding three $5,000 business grants to Georgia entrepreneurs in 2023.
“I’m pleased that Savannah also gets the international recognition it deserves. The business community here is very philanthropic and full of wonderful people who care deeply about improving their community. We love working with them, and they also share in this award,” Russo Turner added.
