Savannah-based non-profit The Creative Coast, which has served the region’s entrepreneurial community for nearly 30 years, has announced its rebrand to Startup Savannah.

"For 28 years, The Creative Coast has evolved alongside Savannah's entrepreneurial ecosystem,” says Nick Palumbo, Executive Director. “Today, as our region experiences unprecedented economic growth, we're proud to become Startup Savannah—a name that clearly tells our story and mission.”

The Creative Coast was founded in 1997 via a partnership between the Savannah Economic Development Authority, the City of Savannah, and the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce. The organization was born out of the city’s need to position itself for future growth, and from its inception, the non-profit has been committed to innovation. Spearheading programs such as the Wifi Squared Project, TEDx Savannah, the GRIT Conference, SHE HUSTLES, and LAUNCH Savannah, The Creative Coast has long been at the forefront of the Savannah region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. The new name and brand reflect a new chapter in line with the organization’s commitment to a forward-thinking culture, recognizing the need to evolve to best serve the community as it develops.

“This evolution reflects our commitment to be the hub where entrepreneurs of all kinds can connect, learn, and build successful businesses,” says Palumbo. “As Savannah enters a new era of opportunity, we're positioned to be the catalyst that helps founders turn their dreams into reality."

The new identity as Startup Savannah reflects both the organization's entrepreneurial focus and its role as a central hub in the region's startup ecosystem. With over 30 resource partners operating in the entrepreneurial space across the region, Startup Savannah is positioned to serve as the collaborative entity that brings these resources together, moving the community toward common goals of small business generation, support, and growth.

Startup Savannah’s new visual identity, along with information about the organization’s history and programs, is showcased on its new website, startupsavannah.org
