The newly rebranded non-profit organization Startup Savannah, formerly known as The Creative Coast, has received a grant of $150,000 from the Savannah Economic Development Authority. The monumental contribution was celebrated with a check presentation at Collins Quarter Forsyth on Thursday, March 27, followed by Startup Savannah’s Rebrand Reveal Event.

The non-profit organization, which has served as a hub for Savannah's entrepreneurial ecosystem since 1997, recently announced its new name and brand. The new identity as Startup Savannah reflects both the organization's entrepreneurial focus and its role as a central hub in the region's startup ecosystem.

"Our new identity as Startup Savannah directly communicates who we are and what we do," said Nick Palumbo, Executive Director of Startup Savannah. "We're building on our 28-year legacy while focusing on serving entrepreneurs throughout Coastal Georgia."

"This exciting partnership with SEDA demonstrates their strong commitment to supporting all entrepreneurs in our region," added Palumbo. "With unprecedented economic growth in our area, opportunity is everywhere, and this investment will help ensure that everyone in our community can participate in that prosperity."

SEDA is providing the organization with $150,000 to support the renewal as Startup Savannah, and to sustain entrepreneurial and innovation resources throughout the Coastal Empire. This funding will help expand successful programs including Launch Savannah, GRIT Conference, and She Hustles.

SEDA Chief Operating Officer Jesse Dillon presented the check to Startup Savannah, writing it out “for making magic.”
