Monday, April 14th, 2025

Leaders at Goodwill Southeast Georgia are excited to announce the grand opening of the non-profit’s newest Retail Store & Donation Center in the Savannah Crossing Shopping Center. It’s Goodwill Southeast Georgia’s first new Savannah location since 2016. A community ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Tuesday, April 15, at 9 AM to celebrate this milestone.

Shoppers can look forward to discovering the thrifted treasures they love from Goodwill Southeast Georgia, now in a new, convenient location. Every purchase and donation at each Goodwill Southeast Georgia location directly supports Goodwill’s six Opportunity Centers, including the Savannah Opportunity Center on Sallie Mood Drive. Each Center provides free education, job training, and employment services to people across Southeast Georgia.

“Goodwill Southeast Georgia’s mission continues to be more relevant and necessary than ever,” says Jason Marshall, President and CEO of Goodwill Southeast Georgia. “When you shop and donate at this location, you are helping people across the region reach their goals and move from a job, to a better job, to a sustainable career.”

The day of the ribbon cutting and the week to follow will feature plenty of exciting giveaways and shopper and donor experiences. Guests can enjoy custom stickers and reusable bags, treat trucks, gift cards, and more.

“Our shoppers and donors make our mission possible, and we are incredibly grateful for their support,” said Jessica Callaway-Penny, Vice President of Donated Goods Retail. “We’re committed to enhancing their experience, and new locations like Savannah Crossing help us do just that.”

Last year, Goodwill Southeast Georgia served more than 4,800 people, leading to more than 614 secure employments across 33 counties in Georgia and South Carolina as a direct result of Goodwill services.
