Union Mission Announces 2025 Raising Hope Featured Speakers

Union Mission will host its 10th Annual Raising Hope on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at the Savannah Convention Center. Presented by Oliver Maner LLP and Georgia Ports Authority, the event will be emceed by Dean Crownover along with Special Guest Emcee, Emma Hamilton, Anchor of WJCL 22 Morning News. The evening will begin with a cocktail reception at 5:30 pm featuring The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra and international travel silent auction items by AmFund, followed by dinner and program at 6:45 pm.

The program will highlight two featured speakers at this year’s event. Dr. Karen Denise Alston, CEO/Founder of 4 the Jewel N U Global Inc., is a passionate community leader. Her organization serves victims and survivors of domestic violence, trauma, and abuse by providing empowerment through transformation, resilience, and sustainability. She has spearheaded numerous initiatives to educate, uplift, and support individuals as they rebuild their lives.
Dr. Gary Gabel, Founder of Infinite Learning and author of Personal Takeover, has extensive experience in leadership training. He finds great satisfaction in helping individuals overcome a “victim mentality.” He provides the tools, techniques, and mindset necessary for greater personal power and the ability to move forward during challenging times by empowering people to take control of their lives. He believes everyone can achieve a richer and more rewarding life with the right mindset and guidance.
Together, they are collaborating with Union Mission to address the critical needs of Parker’s House clients impacted by violence and hardship, developing a program that creates a pathway to stability and emotional healing.
