P.A.C.K. Savannah’s 2nd Annual Savannah Social Fundraiser Raises $165,000 with Contribution from PortCity Logistics
Tuesday, September 16th, 2025
P.A.C.K., People of Action Caring for Kids, a public charity that packs and delivers care bags to local children in need, received a $15,000 donation from PortCity Logistics and raised $165,000 during their 2nd Annual PACK Savannah Social held on Saturday, September 6th, 2025.
“The Savannah Social serves two purposes, to introduce new businesses to PACK and celebrate the partnerships that help us continue to feed local children in need. When a business like PortCity Logistics steps in to help us, it means children can be children and being hungry is one less thing they have to worry about,” shared PACK Executive Director Malena Stone, “The money raised from our Savannah Social will feed 85 kids every Friday for the whole school year.”
“This entire evening was dedicated to thanking PortCity Logistics and our gold and silver sponsors. Hupman Realty, Current Edge Solutions, Daniel Defense, Schuman Signature Realty, Maciljon, Coastal Door and Sash, Gulfstream, and Morgan and Morgan were our gold sponsors and our silver sponsors were DAI Commercial Realty, Wells Fargo Advisors Ronald E Aspinwall and The Lesher Foundation. With no paid employees, we depend on benevolent businesses like these to fund our mission of helping local children in need,” adds Stone.
"Partnering with PACK for the Savannah Social reflects PortCity’s belief that strong communities are built when we come together. We’re honored to support an event that celebrates connection and gives back to Savannah," said Eric Howell, CEO of PortCity. "This year’s event was an incredible reminder of what collaboration can achieve, and we’re proud to share that PortCity has committed to return as the presenting sponsor for next year. Supporting PACK’s mission and the Savannah community is not just a one-time effort—it’s a long-term investment in the people and partnerships that make this city thrive."
While 5,600 bags are delivered weekly, there are thousands of local children on a waiting list for weekend food bags, P.A.C.K. is in need of business and family sponsors to help fill the gap in supply and demand. From delivery to 41 schools and community centers every week to their PACK Cottages, an emergency duffle bag program for children in crisis to the PACK Boutique that provides a personal shopping experience for children in foster and CASA care from ages birth to 18 years old, P.A.C.K. continues to bridge the gap between the hungry and the fed.
