PortCity was honored to serve as the venue for the Annual Chatham Municipal Association Dinner on Tuesday, September 23, welcoming more than 55 elected officials from across Chatham County to its headquarters at 5816 Hwy 21.

The City of Port Wentworth hosted this year’s gathering and selected PortCity as the site for the event, which featured a program focused on regional collaboration and community priorities. Attendees enjoyed catering by Georgia Country Kitchen, served on the main floor of PortCity’s headquarters.

The evening’s agenda included opening and closing remarks from Patrick K. Farrell, Chairman of the Chatham Municipal Association; updates from municipal leaders across Chatham County; and featured presentations by Dennis Jones, Director of Chatham Emergency Management Agency (CEMA), on hurricane response and command policy, and James Collins of the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce on SPLOST VIII.

“This event reflects the spirit of partnership that keeps our region strong,” said Eric Howell, CEO of PortCity. “We were proud to open our doors to leaders from across Chatham County and provide a space where collaboration, planning, and progress could be the focus of the evening.”

The dinner also provided time for updates from municipalities including Bloomingdale, Garden City, Pooler, Port Wentworth, Savannah, Thunderbolt, Tybee Island, Vernonburg, and Chatham County.

By partnering with the City of Port Wentworth to host this year’s meeting, PortCity reinforced its ongoing commitment to serving as a collaborative partner in the growth, preparedness, and prosperity of the greater Savannah region.
