The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce honored local businesses and leaders during the 2026 Chamber Business Awards, presented at the February Board of Directors meeting on Wednesday at Savannah State University. The annual awards recognize excellence in hospitality, advocacy, community service, and entrepreneurship.

“Our business community is filled with innovators, advocates, and industry leaders,” said Bert Brantley, president and CEO of the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce. “These awards, nominated by our membership, shine a spotlight on the dedicated professionals helping shape Savannah’s future.”

• Gulfstream Community Involvement Award: Lance Wade, Savannah Harley-Davidson — recognized for hosting monthly fundraisers and supporting military, youth, and nonprofit initiatives across the region.

• Small Business Advocate of the Year: George Freeman, KATMA Defense — honored for empowering individuals through self-defense training that builds confidence, discipline, and personal safety skills.

• Cornerstone Award: Tharros Place and Julie Wade — recognized for providing trauma-informed residential care and support for girls ages 12–17 who are survivors of human trafficking.

• Hospitality Business of the Year: Southern Cross Hospitality — celebrated for elevating Savannah’s dining scene through distinctive concepts, warm service, and thoughtfully crafted experiences.

• Entrepreneurs of the Year: Dee Daniels & Megan Mason, Dee Daniels Media — honored for creative storytelling through podcast production, content creation, and collaboration with local organizations.

• Small Business of the Year: Friedman’s Framing — a fifth-generation, family-owned company recognized for 124 years of craftsmanship and dedication to preserving art and memories.
