Experts: Georgia Could Benefit from Chinese Currency Changes
Thursday, June 20th, 2013
China eased restrictions on monetary exchanges a year ago, allowing U.S. corporations to accept more Chinese currency, according to a panel of experts on international trade.
Chase Commercial Banking Atlanta partnered with the Georgia China Alliance to host the panel discussion at the Buckhead Club today. About 40 people attended.
According to the panelists, a difference in economic philosophies -- Chinese officials’ grip on the supply of renminbi (RMB) is tighter than the Federal Reserve’s control of the dollar -- can complicate trade.
