Join the Rotary Club of Richmond Hill who are going to the beach on the evening of Saturday February 8^th 2014 and experience the legendary Southern band, The Swingin’ Medallions live in concert.  The Richmond Hill City Center.will be transformed into a seaside playground with a Board Walk designed to recreate the beach experience.

Dress casually for the beach and arrive at 6.30pm on February 8^th in time to enjoy the heavy hors d’oeuvres, cash bar and silent auction before the Swingin’ Medallions perform.  

Rotarian Rich DeLong, organizer of this year’s fundraising event says “we are grateful to all the local businesses which sponsor our annual fundraiser and donate to the silent auction.   We hope that many Richmond Hill residents will join us in ‘goin’ to the beach in February’ and enter into the spirit of the occasion by supporting our Board Walk feature as local businesses will be donating a percentage of their proceeds to our fundraising. The Board Walk participants including Sew Much Baggage, Coastal Confections, the Ice Cream Stop and Jason Barker (photographer) who will add a great deal of fun to the evening as well as helping us to raise much needed funds for charity.”

Larry Barker, President of the Rotary Club of Richmond Hill says “we are very excited to have secured the Swingin’ Medallions for our annual fundraiser...  We have targeted to raise close to $20,000 through sponsorship, ticket sales and our silent and live auctions.  The money raised enables us to give back to our community throughout the year with initiatives like the Senior Citizens Programs, educational sponsorships such as the J.D. Gardner Scholarship, good causes like `The Matthew Freeman Foundation’ and the Presidents Fund which help our local schools as well as remembering international Rotary initiatives such as Alzheimer’s Research and Polio eradication.”
