TAG Hosts Annual High Tech Day at State Capitol

The Technology Association of Georgia announced it will hold its annual High Technology Day at the Georgia State Capitol on February 25, 2014.

The event, held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., is the yearly gathering of members of the state’s technology community to visit with key legislators.  The event concludes with a luncheon featuring a panel of chief information officers in the Empire Room at the Sloppy Floyd Building, downtown Atlanta.

During this year’s High Tech Day, technology community representatives will be urging legislators to move on TAG’s legislative agenda which focuses on five main policy areas: Business and Industry, Economic Development and Taxation, Education and Workforce, Procurement, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. 

“Georgia’s tech sector has proven to be a powerful job creator for the State,” said Tino Mantella, president of TAG. “High -Tech Day at the Capitol gives our members the opportunity to advocate for initiatives that cultivate a strong environment for tech-focused entrepreneurial companies in Georgia.”
