Adam Montgomery, vice president of marketing at The Coastal Bank, a locally owned and operated community bank headquartered in Savannah, Ga., was recently named vice chairman of the Georgia Bankers Association marketing committee. 

In that role, Montgomery will help guide the association and the marketing committee in their efforts to stay in tune with marketing, advertising and public relations issues of importance to GBA members. The committee participates in the planning of educational programming for bank marketing professionals and provides direction in the organization’s lobbying efforts.

Montgomery has been a member of the Georgia Bankers Association since 2011 and has also been involved with other organizations, such as FiS Global EFT Services Bank Advisory Council, Step-up Savannah, Salesforce Executive Advisory Banking Council and FiS Global EFT Services Bank Advisory Council.

“Adam has a longstanding record of quality service and success at The Georgia Bankers Association,” said David Oliver, senior vice president of GBA. “His vast banking experience is a tremendous asset to our team.”

Originally from Atlanta, Ga., Montgomery earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Georgia. He currently lives in Pooler, Ga., with his wife, Katie.
