At the end of 2012, the Savannah Marriott Riverfront finished off the year with updates to its guest rooms, which included new carpets, tiles, walls, art, lighting and linens. To ensure the rest of this downtown Savannah hotel didn't feel left out, it set forth to update its public spaces, and renovations were recently completed in mid-2013.

"Our hotel continues to offer the ideal setting for a weekend getaway or a major convention," Jody S. McIntyre, Director of Sales and Marketing, says, "and with these new updates, we are experiencing an upsurge in new clients and guests anxious to be in Savannah, at our Marriott, overlooking the river."

The heart of this Savannah International Trade and Convention Center hotel, the lobby and atrium received an update with a new color palette of warm, rich and inviting tones. The light-filled space is the perfect setting for working or relaxing, and both new and repeat guests have offered positive feedback on the changes. The Atrium is also home to a bar, where guests and visitors can enjoy light snacks, handmade cocktails, beer and wine. Additional dining opportunities include Blue, A Savannah Bistro and Bar. The restaurant, serving three meals a day, offers a contemporary American menu. The bar, open for lunch, offers many of the items from the restaurant in a more casual, social setting.

The recent renovation at this Savannah hotel also brought updates to its wedding and event venues, with new carpeting in the pre-function area, new flooring in the breakout rooms and new carpeting and wall coverings in the board rooms. The hotel offers 36,000 square feet of flexible event space, with 23 meetings rooms and 12 breakout rooms. It's largest, the Savannah Ballroom, can host up to 1,600 guests.

The completion of the most recent renovations bring the efforts of the Savannah Marriott Riverfront full circle, and while the hotel thrives to keep its spaces and services not only up to date but ahead of their time, it's happy to sit back for a moment and allow visitors to enjoy the new look.
