1ST Annual Will-A-Palooza to Benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

On May 10th 2014, Coach’s Corner along with Will Gruver’s campaign team for Man of the Year will be hosting an all-day event, the 1st Annual Will-A-Palooza, to help pave a path to a cure. Money raised during this all day event from 12PM-10PM will go directly to Will’s Man of The Year campaign helping to advance LLS’s mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Three touring bands have graciously given their time and talents to the event as well as local acts earlier in the day. All three touring bands have ties to the music breeding ground to the north of Savannah, Athens, GA.
The bands include: Craig Waters and The Flood, Betsy Kingston and Friends, and the headlining act, Saint Francis. When asked why Saint Francis became involved with this event, Scott Baston, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the group said, “Will came to us in early January and showed such an immense passion and drive for the cause. His love for music and love for helping others are what sold us from day one.”
The event will have something for everyone including a cornhole tournament starting at 1PM, as well as local music beginning between 12:30 and 1:00. The local music will includes members of the hard gigging Savannah band “The Trainwrecks” and one more group to be announced soon. Other events will be going on throughout the day including drawings for raffle items and other possible special guest appearances and activities.

Tickets are $15 for general admission or $50 for a cornhole team of 2, which allows both team members entry to the event as well. There is also a slot for an extra donation to the campaign if the ticket purchaser wishes to donate above the cost of their ticket.
