Abshire Public Relations, a local company that excels in media relations, crisis communications, strategic planning and business development, recently named Jane Grismer as its project manager.
In her position, Grismer will oversee all projects within the company from start to finish. She will also work with clients to complete projects by outlining required resources, scope, budget and timing.
Prior to joining Abshire, Grismer worked as an executive assistant at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force. There, she was also involved in the B-17 restoration project, initiating and executing the museum’s Flying Fortress 5K to raise money for the project. Grismer, who has 25 years of executive administration experience, has also worked with Grey Advertising and Tishman Speyer Properties in New York, N.Y.
Grismer serves as race director for the Tunnel to Towers Run Savannah, which honors the life of her former schoolmate, Stephen G. Siller, a New York City firefighter who died on Sept. 11, 2001. This event has raised more than $125,000 for the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Grismer now resides in Pooler, Ga.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Jane to our team at Abshire,” said Jennifer Abshire, founder and president of Abshire Public Relations. “With her help, our team will continue to provide top-quality work for all of our clients.”
Born and raised in Lynbrook, N.Y., Grismer earned her associate’s degree in liberal studies from Nassau Community College in Garden City, N.Y.
