GDOL to Help CrossRoads Recruit Workers in Savannah

The Georgia Department of Labor will help CrossRoads Services Group recruit 25 warehouse workers for its distribution center on Savannah’s Crossroads Parkway near Pooler.
Recruitments will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 29-30, and Monday and Tuesday, May 5-6, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the GDOL’s Savannah Career Center, 5520 White Bluff Rd.
The company is recruiting experienced operators of rider-style mechanized pallet jacks or stand-up forklifts. The shift hours are 6:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. Salaries begin at $9 an hour.
Due to federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old. A high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED) is preferred, but not required for the jobs. However, applicants must be able to read and write and perform basic mathematical skills. And, they must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of material.
